Corona-Fraud

One of my Facebook friends shared a video earlier today featuring a guy talking about testing positive for COVID-19 -- while he wandered through a Walmart and as he asserted that he would definitely not be self-isolating through his recovery:
Hey, check this out. I definitely tested positive for coronavirus. Definitely was told to self-quarantee for fourteen days -- 14-21 days. I'm asymptomatic. My throat's a little itchy, but other than that I'm not coughing. I feel great. Nah, ain't no toilet paper. I just looked. They say it's highly contagious...
Obviously I'm in Walmart 'cuz I gotta eat too. See, you all have to deal with it. If I got it, then you all gonna get it too. Fuck all of y'all, that's how I feel about it. I need some orange juice. Good old vitamin C... I've been to a local diner this morning. I've been in Walmart now. I'm going to check out Sam's Club in Concord. I've been to Traveler's Supply to get dog food.
I am positive for COVID-19. It is not going to stop me from living my everyday life. I'm asymptomatic. So if you old, if you sick, if you immunocompromised, I suggest you stay home. This is not for the old. It's not for the weak. You ain't got to like it. It is what it is. I don't own nobody.
I did some quick web searching and discovered that this all happened last Wednesday the 18th. Also, it appears that the guy isn't even sick.

31-year-old Justin Rhodes of Albemarle, NC, was arrested after posting the Facebook Live video and charged by local police with felony perpetrating a hoax in a public building and disorderly conduct. He received a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear on court on Monday the 30th.

Rhodes isn't the only one is trouble right now for coronavirus-related fraud. 50-year-old George Falcone of Freehold, NJ, was charged yesterday with 3rd degree Terroristic Threats, 4th degree Obstructing Administration of Law or Other Governmental Function, and Harassment.

According to law enforcement, Falcone was at a Wegmans store on the 22nd. One of the employees thought that he was standing too close and asked him to step away from her a bit. He instead stepped closer to her, leaned forward, and coughed at her. He then allegedly told her that he was sick with the coronavirus. He then got all entitled and told two of her co-workers that they were lucky to have jobs.

If convicted, Falcone faces up to five years in prison.
