I was playing around on YouTube this afternoon when I came across this brief clip from an early episode of "Coronation Street."
I was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar face. I'm not talking about any senior "Corrie" characters, but an actor who's familiar to pretty much any "Star Trek" fan: Patrick Stewart!
It seems that one of Stewart's first television roles was from a relatively early episode of "Coronation Street!" He played the role of a Fire Officer back in 1967.
I was watching this clip -- which took all of 20 seconds -- and witnessed Stewart and his men bursting in on a fire scene. They put out the fire quickly enough, but the house left a mess!
I understand that this is an edited YouTube video to highlight Stewart's role on the show, but it's pretty clear that his "Corrie" career amounted to pretty much nothing! Still, it was pretty excited to see Stewart in his prime -- and on one of my favorite soaps!
