I'm not terribly worked up over this hype. Most likely, this will be like LaFou's "exclusively gay moment" in 2017's Beauty and the Beast live action musical. Or the hyped "openly gay character" in Avengers: Endgame -- which ended up being random some guy in Captain America's survivors support group. Or like the hype of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's blink-and-you'll-miss-it lesbian kiss between Commander D'Acy and one of the female pilots -- which was edited overseas.
So while I would be excited to see someone like Cloud appear in the upcoming Eternals movie, or Shade in an upcoming X-Men movie, or even Koi Boi in the next Spider-Man movie....
... Most likely Marvel Studios' first trans character will end up being some barista in the upcoming Black Widow film.
