According to the Census’ American Community Survey, 74,516 people moved from Iowa over the past year, while 70,405 were moving here from somewhere else.According to the Census Burea, most of Iowa's new residents came from our immediate right and left. Illinois gave Iowa 13,725 new residents compared to the 13,345 new residents who moved here from Nebraska.
