I've been attending the Iowa City Metaphysical Expo for years now (You can read about it here, here, here, and here). Sometimes I'm only there for a brief time, but I've always found it to be an inexpensive way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Plus, I've met some really fun people during my local paranormal explorations.
So I was saddened to learn that there will be no Iowa City Metaphysical Expo this summer. From their Facebook page:

I am reaching out today to let you know that I've decided to cancel the 2020 Iowa City Metaphysical Expo. I believe it is important to err on the side of caution for the safety and well-being of everyone. I know it is disappointing for so many events to be cancelled this year, but I do think it's for the best. Building C is pretty crowded when we get into the swing of things. There is no way to properly distance at this event. Also, I would be devastated to plan this event for things to completely shut down in the fall. I've been finding this year that I'm relieved to have things cancelled, rather than waiting to see. In a year that has been producing a lot of anxiety, the "wait and see" approach has been harder on me!I had been hopeful that at least one of my annual plans would survive 2020, but it's not to be.
We have a date for next year's expo: October 23, 2021. The expo will be at the fairgrounds like always. This year's keynote speaker, Jason Mankey, will still be the keynote speaker for 2021. I hope you can join us then!
