There's a video circulating of a park ranger advising park-goers to practice social distancing at the Lake Austin water reservoir in Austin, TX.

According to media reports, the ranger, Cassidy Stillwell, was talking to a crowd of people from a dock near by lake. From the video, he was urging people to spread out because they weren't maintaining physical distances of six feet or more from each other. Everyone seemed to be listening politely to the guy, tossing out comments like "Will do" and "I got you, man."

Of course, we wouldn't know anything about this interaction if that's all that happen. As the ranger was wrapping up his discussion with the people, a young guy rushed him and shoved him into the lake. The ranger toppled into the shallow water -- though he managed to keep hold to the swimsuit clad kid and pulls him into the water too! The pusher quickly pulls himself from the water and runs away.

The guy who shoved the ranger into the water was quickly identified and arrested. 25-year-old Brandon Hicks was charged with attempted assault on a public servant, which is a state jail felony.

From the affidavit: "Brandon's intentional and reckless action could have caused the Ranger to strike his head on the dock as he was falling, and render himself unconscious in at least 3 feet of water where he could have drowned to death."

You can watch the video of the assault here.
