I was watching the latest "This Is Iowa" segment on KCCI about a 2000 pound bull named Ole who recently visited the Southern Hills Specialty Care nursing home in Osceola, IA. At first, I found myself hoping that somebody pulled out the mop and bleach afterwards!
But then I looked a little closer and realized that I recognized the rodeo clown who introduced Ole to a building full of ninetysomething geriatrics. It was Jason Dent from Big Brother 19!
During his visit, Dent told the story of how he tamed Ole and transformed the bull into a gentle giant. He let the various resident pet and kiss the bull. And then he did something that took a lot of guts. He offered bull rides to anyone who wanted one!
Liability insurance or not, I'd be terrified of busting someone's hip! Fortunately, everyone had a great time and nobody got hurt. Better yet, nobody had to clean up after Ole!
