It's amazing how quickly a narrative can change. Just yesterday, Twitter users were reacting to a CNN news article that asked "How black will the royal baby be?"
Today, Twitter users are responding much more favorably to the official naming of the newest Royal Baby: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor!
I've been reading all sorts of praises for the baby's name -- and lots of "Riverdale" comparisons! It doesn't hurt that Baby Archie's father, Prince Harry, is a redhead -- much like the star of Archie Comics.
One of my Facebook friends hates the name. Then again, he initially thought of Archie Bunker from "All In The Family." Which would indeed be an interesting link for a notorious racist television character and a mixed-raced Royal Baby! But I really don't think that too many people under 40 are that familiar with that particular Archie these days!
For the record, Archie means "genuine,""bold," and "brave" and its reportedly quite popular these days in Britain.
