Most of the rest of the episode dealt with Mama June Shannon trying to guilt her boyfriend Geno Doak into proposing to her. I like Geno, but I just can't get into this couple doing the back-and-forth "Should we marry each other?/Should we not?" thing. It just seems so manufactured.
Speaking of manufactured news -- or possibly ill-timed news... Both Mama June and Geno were arrested at a gas station somewhere in Alabama earlier today! TMZ reports that the police were called to a domestic disturbance. They ended up arresting 43-year-old Geno and charged him with domestic violence/harassment, felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. 39-year-old Mama June was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
I also learned from TMZ that Geno has a lengthy criminal history that includes burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property. Mama June has also been in jail in the past for unpaid child support payments.
