Last week, she met a new boyfriend -- her first boyfriend, if I'm not mistaken -- named Ahmir. They spent time last week getting to know each other, kissing, and freaking out Jazz's parents because she was out of the house later than expected.
BTW, is it just me or is it weird that Jazz's parents have cell phone trackers on their 18-year-old daughter's cell phone?
In the preview for tonight's episode (which I won't see until later this week when I can stream it or watch it on demand), Ahmir will reveal to Jazz that his mother is transphobic. And apparently homophobic as well. He tells Jazz that his mother has a problem with Jazz, misgendering her, calling her a boy, and saying that Ahmir that he'll be gay if he dates Jazz.
Of course, Jazz wants to sit down with Ahmir's mom and win her over to her side, which Ahmir thinks that such conversations are pointless. Ultimately, he thinks that they should just enjoy their time together.
