Father Has Cringe-Worthy Heart-to-Heart Talk With His Teenage Son About Polygamy in "Seeking Sister Wife"

I don't think that I've ever watched an episode of TLC's "Seeking Sister Wife" -- though I'm in the midst of watching the second season's first episode while I type this blog article. The show's concept is pretty simple. Couples spend several episodes seeking, dating, and transitioning into polygamous households.

There's this scene circulating that I find curious. In the scene, Bernie McGee (one of the husbands who is seeking another wife) has an uncomfortable heart-to-heart discussion with his teenage son John and the camera crews to discuss his plan.

It was really interesting to hear John's questions. Such as... "how many wives do you want?" (Answer: "How many is too many? I think three is a good number.") And "how would you do that (balance time between wives)?" (Answer: "I'll have to rotate nights in each wife's bed each night!") Of course, John wasn't even thinking about sex. He wanted to know how de-prioritized he was going to become now that his father was creating a new family.

It turns out that Bernie wants to move all of his families into one big house and then will switch from  one bedroom to another bedroom, like the hot stud that he is. He tells his son that he wants to create a large family and a strong family. But everything seems to circulate around the bedroom for him -- judging from the clip. I'm not sure why he can't create a larger family with his first wife. But it appears that his wife decided that they should become polygamous after reading the Bible.

You can watch the entire clip here.
