B.R.O.D.O.K. Stands Revealed and Jimmy Kimmel Makes a Cameo in WEST COAST AVENGERS #4

I've continued to read Marvel Comics' WEST COAST AVENGERS series since it premiered last August. I continue to love the artwork and the team is an interesting mix of super-powered and non-powered heroes.

I am tiring though of the lame reality show-styled interviews interspersed within each issue. I would really prefer if they would eventually drop the reality TV angle for this team.

B.R.O.D.O.K. was finally revealed in WEST COAST AVENGERS #4 as an altered identity for M.O.D.O.K. -- at least until Clint Barton used a conveniently labeled machine to undo the results of M.O.D.O.K.'s manipulations.

Tigra was finally reduced to normal size towards the ends of the Wackos' fight with B.R.O.D.O.K. I was disappointed that she didn't join up with the team. It would be nice to have another legacy member on the team.

It wasn't just Tigra who appeared in this issue. Jimmy Kimmel made a very brief -- and ultimately pointless -- appearance in WEST COAST AVENGERS #4. The team appeared on his program for one page. Kate Bishop embarassed herself on national television. But really the interview did nothing but give the team an opportunity to announce that the Wackos are back in action.

Plus it gave the new Masters of Evil an opportunity to target a new team of enemies. But that's a battle for another issue...

WEST COAST AVENGERS #4 features writing by Kelly Thompson, art by Stefano Caselli, coloring by Triona Farrell, and lettering by VC's Joe Caramagna.
