I remembered late last night that September 28th is National Good Neighbor Day. This is a special day that was created to acknowledge and celebrate the importance of being a good neighbor.
I've sat in sad disgust all week as people have reacted to the Senate committee hearings for Brett Kavanaugh, as well as Christine Blasey Ford's testimony accusing him of rape when they were both teens.
Then one of my distant cousins posted yet another meme about needing to care for all of America's homeless children before we help out any refugees and it broke my heart. (Jon's Note: Like we can't try to address both...)
In acknowledgement of National Good Neighbor Day, I encourage everyone to be better neighbors to each other, both locally, nationally, and globally.
