It looks like TLC will be launching a new reality TV show on Monday evening called "Little Life on the Prairie." It tells the story of Nate and Lauren Webnar and her young daughter Juniper who have moved from the big city to an isolated farm in Chico Valley, Arizona. Oh, and they all have achondroplasia dwarfism. And they're trying to have more kids, which is forcing them to spend all of their money on special medical procedures to ensure that their unborn baby survives.
They have sunk all of their money into both dreams (creating the farm and creating a family), which certainly can't be good for their marriage. But it's probably good for reality TV.
The only thing that could make this better would be if they were Amish, polygamists, or morbidly obese!
The show looks interesting, but I'm not sure if there's much of a market for new reality TV shows about little people. But the show's title is pretty clever, so maybe this one will stick.
"Little Life on the Prairie" is scheduled to premier at 9:00 PM on Monday, August 20th, on TLC. You can watch an introductory clip of the program here.
