According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, 31-year-old Chauntl Wilson was pulled over on Interstate 80 last weekend after she was recorded driving 92 MPH in a 75 MPH zone. She was cited for speeding and allowed to leave.
After receiving her citation, Wilson accelerated rapidly. Sheriff's deputies checked her speed again using radar and recorded her traveling 142 westward on Interstate 80. According to the sheriff's office, Wilson initially refused to pull over. She was briefly pursued and she eventually pulled over.
Wilson was arrested and charged with Willful Reckless Driving and taken to a detention center. After she was arrested, sheriff's deputies discovered "user amounts of suspected Marijuana" in her vehicle. It's possible that additional charges may be leveled against her.
