The Blazing Saddle is a gay bar in Des Moines, IA. WHO TV Channel 13 out of Des Moines is running a story about an assault that happened at the bar two weeks ago during the Capital City Pride Fest.

Police released a video featuring featuring three individuals. There's a guy wearing a blue shirt. There's a waitress. And there's a guy wearing a black shirt who is off-camera for most of the video.

It appears that "Blue Shirt" is upset with "Black Shirt" over something and he's complaining about him to the waitress. Black Shirt approaches the table and Blue Shirt pulls out his cell phone to video record the other man. Black Shirt (AKA "the identified victim") punches at Blue Shirt.

Which sets Blue Shirt off. He lunges at Black Shirt, throws him to the ground, and punches him six times before pouring a bunch of beer on him. Black Shirt reportedly suffered bruises to his face and a cut to his hand.

Blue Shirt left the building and "is on the loose." He apparently faces assault charges, even through he was responding to Black Shirt's initial assault:
“It’s excessive our opinion is after watching the video is that, that response was way over the top and was extremely excessive to what he was responding to,” Sergeant Paul Parizek said.
Police in Des Moines are asking for people to let them know if they have any information about Blue Shirt. You can watch the video here.
