Lewandowski was appearing last night on a Fox News program along with Democratic strategist Zac Petkanas. Petkanas was detailing individual stories of children who'd been forcibly taken from their parents. In a widely circulating clip, Petkanas said, "I read today about a 10-year-old girl with Down Syndrome who was taken from her mother and put in a cage."
Lewandowski then interrupted him with a dismissive "womp womp" sad trombone sound.
Petkanas then exploded, "Did you just say 'womp womp' to a 10-year-old with Down Syndrome begin taken from her mother? How dare you! How dare you! How absolutely dare you, sir!"
