Two People Stabbed in Iowa City // Suspect at Large

This story might not have made the blog except that I received the following message at approximately 3:00 AM today, which disrupted my sleep for the rest of the night. This is what the message warned us about:

Hawk Alert: Stabbing near Washington and Dubuque. Suspect is an Asian male wearing a red USA jersey. Call 911 with any information.

KCJJ later reported that two people were stabbed by a man described as "a short Asian male wearing a red USA jersey" at approximately 2:00 AM on the corner of Washington and Dubuque Streets here in Iowa City. According to KCJJ, the suspect left the area by foot, heading east away from downtown iowa City. As of 4:00 AM, the suspect was still at large.

The two stabbing victims are being treated for non-life threatening injuries, which is good.
