The Iowa State Patrol posted an update on Facebook yesterday. They shared that
someone accused of drunk driving got pulled over doing 106 miles per hour near Des Moines:
Recently a State Trooper checked the speed of a motorist in the early morning hours around the metro at 106 mph. Speed wasn’t the only factor – the driver was arrested and subsequently charged with O.W.I. testing nearly twice the legal limit.
To date, there have been 22 fatalities in Iowa – which is 5 more than a year ago at this time.
