Apparently, this Methodist Church in North Carolina decided to stop performing weddings until gay and lesbian couples are given the opportunity to get married. I don't really agree with that decision, but it's their right. Anyway, this past Easter morning a group of street preachers greeted the church membership with this message:
Can you imagine if a group of LGBT protesters stood outside any Christian church and screamed at the membership with protest signs?
I cannot think of any other group of people who experiences this type of vitriolic religious protest. With the exception of many some Pagan worshipping group. Then again, I can't think of any Phelps-like church protests of any Pagan/Wiccan worship ceremonies in the recent past. Can you?
Imagine if they spent half as much time screaming outside of a Synagogue... Or a Mosque... Or any other place of worship.
