Kim Davis Released from Jail

Breaking News: U.S. District Judge David Bunning has released Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis from jailnearly one week since he initially sent her there. She is the county clerk who'd stopped issuing marriage licenses for the taxpayers of her community in order to avoid issuing marriage licenses for same-sex couples. Multiple federal courts had told Davis to resume marriage licenses, but she refused. As a result, a contempt of court hearing was scheduled and she went to jail.

News reports indicate that Davis is being forbidden from interfering with her deputy clerks, who have been issuing marriage licenses in her absence since September 4th. She could be returned to jail if she halts the marriage licenses.
