Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson, father of Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson and reality TV personity on "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo". Several months ago, he suffered severe leg injuries following an ATV accident.
Last December, an ambulance got sent to his home following a high blood pressure scare. Now fans are learning via Alana's official Facebook page that
Sugar Bear was rushed to the hospital due to chest pains and was subsequently diagnosed with pancreatitis early this week:
oh k cause everyone is talking and what our family emergency is well im going to go public so there will b no fake stories of what is going sugarbear was rushed to the hospital Monday by us cause he was having chest pains like gas pains well we get to the hospital and after tests we found out he has a severe case of pancreatitis which is inflammation of the pancreas and cause he is a diabetic type 2 pills only thats not good so he has been hospitalized under strict doctor care was in ICU the first night he is out of ICU but he has a long road ahead of him we have let his pancreas rest and his body rest tests r being ran everyday cause they dont know what is causing us cause normally causes it like gall stones alcoholism or high cholesterol and he doesn't have none of these things so hope we get answers soon we r staying very close to the hospital in case he needs us thanks for all the thoughts ahead of time and i will update when i can...
