I learned earlier today that June "Mama" Shannon of
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo hasn't been splurging with the money earned from the family's TLC program. Instead of wasting the money so that nothing is left after their television program eventually ends,
she's been wisely setting the money aside for her girls' futures:
The mother, June Shannon, said the earnings -- estimated to be between $15,000 and $20,000 per episode -- was divided equally in trust funds for all five girls, Alana,7; Lauryn, 12; Jessica, 15; Anna, 18; and infant relative Kaitlyn, TMZ.com reported Sunday. Shannon said the girls can't touch the funds until they mark their 21st birthday except in case of medical emergencies or schooling. "I want my kids to look back and say, 'Mama played it smart. Not like those other reality TV people," she told TMZ.

new season starts tonight at 8 PM CST. Unfortunately, the show's premier coincides with the season three premier of
Downton Abbey so I'll be catching up with Honey Boo Boo, Mama, Uncle Poodle, and the rest during the show's reruns.
