Actor Seth Rogen testified before the Senate Committee on Appropriation yesterday in favor of increased federal funding for Alzheimer's research. Somehow that led to the
following question by ABC News reporter Arlette Saenz:
She asked him several questions, including, “Is there one politician you’d want to smoke pot with?”
He answered, “That Harkin guy seemed pretty cool. I’d go with him.”
Rogen, of course, is talking about Iowa U.S. Senator Tom Harkin. Harkin's staff had a
great response when asked about Rogen's desire to share a joint:
Harkin Spokeswoman Kate Frischmann followed up on the Register’s request with a coy, “Ask us again in January, 2015.”
Senator Harkin is not running for re-election this year.
