Today is World AIDS Day. It's also the first day of Advent 2013. The United Church of Christ posted the
following message on Facebook earlier this morning:
As we begin this peaceful season, may we remember that Advent, advocacy and the work to end AIDS are all centered around hope and the transformative power of love.

this link to the Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance. The EAA has created a special daily Advent calendar. People can sign up for daily AIDS-themed Advent messages or they can download the entire Advent calendar in one big chunk.
