TMZ reported a couple days ago that Honey Boo Boo and her family spent the day at the beach recently. I'd read about the recent family trip to Tybee Island after they had wrapped up filming for the second season of
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo on Facebook. Their post had implied that it was a private getaway. But there were a ton of pictures of Honey Boo Boo, her parents, her sisters, and Uncle Poodle posted on TMZ and frankly it looked more like a celebrity photo shoot from some gossip magazine to me -- except that the stars look more like you, me, and/or the "
people of Walmart."
But here is the real reason I posted this piece. I finally got to see Lee "Uncle Poodle" Thompson topless at the beach and I liked what I saw! (
so homo) It's interesting to see him with nipple rings and there's some irony of seeing him hold a blow-up tire next to his own spare tire. It's nice to see a celebrity (reality TV or otherwise) who's not afraid to show off his everyday body to the world. But one hopes he ended up spending enough time in the sun to spread his tan from his neck and arm to his chest and stomach!
If you go through the TMZ pics, you'll see several of Uncle Poodle splashing in the ocean with his family and getting buried in the sand by his nieces.
