(Originally written on 12/09/19): It was a busy night last night, so I missed the first part of the Arrowverse's "
Crisis on Infinite Earths" story in
Supergirl. I've been pretty excited about this crossover. Not so much for the story itself, though that's been fun. I'm all about the cameos from previous movies and television shows that have featured various DC Comics characters -- but mostly Batman and Superman variations!
I might have missed last night's
Supergirl, but it's been pretty easy to catch up on the brief cameos. Such as,
Gothman Globe reporter Alexander Knox (played by actor Robert Wuhl). He first appeared in the 1989
Batman movie:

Next came Robin (played by Curran Walters) and Hawk (played by Alan Ritchson) from the DC Universe's
Titans streaming series:

Hawk and Robin -- Earth-9 |
Next up followed The Ray (played by Russell Tovey) from the Freedom Fighters on Earth-X:

Lastly, there appeared Dick Grayson (FKA Robin, played by Burt Ward) in the 1966 cult classic
Batman TV series. He was possibly walking Ace the Bat-Hound when the skies turned red over Earth-69:

Sadly, all of these heroes and their respective Earths appear to have been destroyed by the forces of the Anti-Monitor.
I might have missed
Supergirl last night, but I definitely tuned in for
Batwoman tonight! In it, the Monitor has begun gathering Paragons from across the multiverse to rise up against the Anti-Monitor. Which brings up to various other cameos from other DC shows. Though these cameos lasted longer than 1-2 seconds!
First off, Superman, Lois Lane, and Iris West went looking for a special Superman. And they thought that they found the Paragon that they were looking for with Clark Kent (played by Tom Welling) and his own Lois Lane (played by Erica Durance) of
Smallville. It turns out that this wasn't the Superman they were seeking, but it was fun to touch based with Clark again! And we learned that this pair now has two daughters!

The next Paragon search by Batwoman and Supergirl was seemingly for Batman (played by Kevin Conroy). This Batman was based off the KINGDOM COME future version of Bruce Wayne, who'd become a ruthless killer and who eventually found himself needing a cybernetic boost to walk around. We learned that this Batman had killed off most of his enemies, and a few of his friends too. You probably know by now that this Batman/Bruce Wayne was the voice actor from
Batman: The Animated Series. Sadly, Bruce didn't end up with the happy ending that Clark and Lois experienced!

And then we finally do meet up with the Superman who actually is a Paragon. It's Superman/Clark Kent from Earth-96. This Clark is now the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet. He's lost all of his friends and family, but has seemingly risen from this heavy tragedy. He's played by Brandon Routh, who plays the part of the Atom in
Legends of Tomorrow. But Routh also played Superman in the 2006
Superman Returns movie!

Anyway, those are the cameos from
Supergirl and
Batwoman. Hopefully, we'll get treated to more cameos during the next few episodes!
Updated on 12/10/19: I missed the first 15-20 minutes of tonight's episode of
The Flash, which really annoyed me because I ended up missing the two cameos that really intrigued me!
The third installment of "Crisis on Infinite Earth" started out in New Gotham as Huntress (played by Ashley Scott) from the old
Birds of Prey television series was warning Oracle/Barbara Gordon about the anti-matter wave. Sadly, her warning came too late to do anything and their world was lost.
|
Huntress -- Earth-203 |
And then there was the whole sub-plot involving the resurrection of Oliver Queen's body and soul. John Constantine, Mia, and John Diggle travel to Earth-666 to get assistance from the Devil himself to travel to Purgatory, where Queen's soul resides. And by the Devil, I mean Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) from the
Lucifer television series! It was so great seeing him in this cross-over event! The various powers-that-be had deflected in the past when asked if Lucifer would make an appearance. I loved, loved, LOVED(!!) this scene!

Lucifer Morningstar -- Earth-666 |
Lastly, his appearance was hardly a cameo as he has been appearing in
The Flash since the beginning and his involvement was quite crucial. But it's always good to see John Wesley Shipp from
The Flash. Shipp was the Flash for one season back in 1990, but the current Flash series reintroduced the character and frequently had him teaming up with our modern day Barry Allen. Sadly, the 1990 Barry Allen ended up sacrificing his life tonight to save Earth-1 from the Anti-Monitor's anti-matter wave. He was a great hero. And he will be missed.

The Flash -- Earth-90 |
Unfortunately, we won't get any additional installments of "Crisis" until January 14th! And I'm not sure that we will be treated to any more Crisis cameos -- given that all of the infinite Earths are kaput! But time will tell!
