The Iowa City Police Department issued a press release notifying the public about an
armed robbery early this morning at the Burger King fast-food restaurant. At approximately 5:08 AM, a black male wearing dark clothing entered the business, displayed a handgun, and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The individual currently remains at-large.
The police are asking for public assistance with apprehending this suspect. Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest of this suspect. Anyone with information about this crime is urged to contact CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS (8477).
