Archie Comics has paired the Riverdale with various bands in the past with ARCHIE MEETS KISS and ARCHIE MEETS RAMONES. But the Archies and the B-52s really makes sense to me for all sorts of colorful, humorous, and quirky reasons!
The reason for this comic book crossover isn't immediately clear. I don't know if there's some sort of anniversary date planned to coincide with this comic book. I don't know if any of the surviving B-52s will be involved with the creation of this book, or if they will release any music connected to the Archies. But Archie Comics promised with their promo article that they will release more information at an upcoming Archie-themed panel at this weekend's New York Comic Con!
