Sanders himself threw the opening pitch -- but not before giving his standard (though truncated) campaign speech about Medicare for All, free college tuition, a minimum wage hike, and a real fight against climate change. "If you built it, they will come. In a sense, it's a message of hope. Just this morning in Davenport, somebody gave me a speech by Nelson Mandela... which said everything is impossible until we make it happen. It can't happen until we make it happen."
Up at bat were Team Revolutionaries (Bernie Sanders and his campaign staff) VS Team LBA (Leaders Believers Achievers Foundation -- a Cedar Rapids-based nonprofit dedicated to youth leadership through sports. Team LBA ended up beating Team Revolutionaries by 14/8.
