Meteorologist Proposes to Boyfriend While Storm Chasing in Kansas!

The Midwest has been a awash with storm warnings over the past month. Just this past weekend, Iowa City had its own tornado. Nothing too much. Just enough to cause a little bit of property damage, to kill a horse, and to disrupt two high school graduation ceremonies.

Heck, I'm typing this blog post from my second story bedroom while in the midst of another tornado warning!

But I'm actually writing about Kansas right now, which was struck by several strong tornadoes. Last night, a meteorologist and risk analyst named Joey Krastel when storm-chasing near Tipton, KS, with his boyfriend and some friends.

They stopped at one point when Krastel -- a lifelong storm chaster -- went down on one knee and proposed to his boyfriend Chris Scott. A friend snapped a shot of the proposal -- and coincidentally snapped a pic of a ginormous twister approaching in the background!!

Scott enthusiastically shouted "Yes!!" before the group piled back into their vehicle to escape the approaching storm. They spent the rest of the evening taking pictures and posting videos -- before finally celebrating their new engagement!
