There's a horrible story coming out of
central Iowa involving two dogs whose bodies were pulled out of the river. What's worse, it appears that the
dogs were shot in the face before being dumped in the water:
Authorities in Dallas County said they are asking for the public's assistance in identifying two dogs believed to have been shot in the face and dumped in the Raccoon River earlier this month. The animals' bodies were found March 16 north of Dawson. The Dallas County Sheriff's Office said it believes someone from the area placed the carcasses in the river, though a motive was unclear...
(AHeinz 57 pet Rescue and Transport executive director Amy) Heinz said whoever killed the dogs would face a light punishment.
The Dallas County Sheriff's Office
posted partial images of the dogs on their Facebook page and asked people asked people to contact them at the number listed in the corner image in an effort to bring some justice to these poor dogs.
