TMZ first announced news of the wedding early yesterday morning. The initial scoop was that guests were being asked to show up in full redneck attire -- hot pink or camo clothing. Thirteen hours later, they posted another article about the wedding. This one showed off Mama June's wedding dress (camo design) and Sugar Bear's hunting tux!
I listen to a lot of podcasts throughout the day. One of those podcasts is the "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo After-Show Podcast." It does a great job of updating me on portions of the show that I missed, but the podcast personalities also like to offer predictions about the future of "Here Comes Honey Boo." One of the last predictions from that podcast was that Mama June and Sugar Bear would get married in the coming season. Score one for the podcaster!
However... There is a possibility that all is not what it seems...
What if this wedding wasn't really a wedding? What if it was some sort of fund-raising pageant or some other type of stunt? I ask this because of that Facebook post that I mentioned at the top of this blog article. Check this out:
I just wanted to thank everyone for congrats to me and sugarbear but u will have watch to see if we did a marriage or commitment ceremony the new season starts July 17 we r excited and we will make a post later about our meet and greet fundraiser this Saturday may 11.If you read the comments following that post, a few people noted that the couple didn't get a marriage license. Maybe it seems more rednecky to shack up out of wedlock than to get married eight years after having a child together? Either way, I'm sure we will learn the reasons as we get closer to July.
