Here is what's up: He's employed at a Trader Joe's store in New Jersey. This shocking (*yawn*) revelation was scooped by the Daily Mail and followed up by Fox News.
Owens appeared in 44 episodes of "The Cosby Show" from 1985 through 1992. He's appeared in several other acting gigs over the year. And he has a job at Trader Joe's.
Maybe the people who broke this story want us to feel scandalized. But Owens has a regularly job. And he's a working actor. And frankly, Bill Cosby made it toxic for most channels to air reruns of "The Cosby Show" with all of his sexual shenanigans so I'm sure that Owens and the other actors from that program are now getting nothing for residual payments from that show.
Most actors that we've grown to love from TV and movies have mundane jobs in their day-to-day lives. That's not a scandal. That's paying the bills and saving for retirement. More power to Owens.
