Archie Comics & Graphic India Announce "Archie In Bollywood" Film Project!

You may or may not know that Archie Comics has a really large following in India. With that in mind, it made a lot of sense when Archie Comics and Graphic India announced plans to develop a Bollywood-style live action film:

The companies touted the production as the first international comic to be translated for Indian screens and said it is in the early stages with an official release date to be announced. The film will reimagine the classic characters like Archie, Betty, Veronica, Reggie, Moose and Jughead with an Indian cast and will feature all the elements of the comic book series.

I asked Archie Comics on Twitter if this movie will be shown in the USA, or if it will just be limited to India. They indicated that the project is really new and hinted that it's really too soon to know for sure. My hunch is that it will launch in India with a limited American launch, as well as Netflix and DVDs. But I could be wrong.

I don't know enough about Indian culture to know whether or not Kevin Keller will be part of this film. I really, really want to see Kevin in this "Archie In Bollywood" project. I also really want to see Raj Patel and Amisha Mehta translated into a live action project!
