Years ago, I discovered an old cartoon from the 1970s called "The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan." It featured Charlie Chan and his ten children and their mystery-solving adventures. I once wrote a blog post about the cartoon back when I had my Beliefnet blog, but a glitch made it all disappear.

Anyway, I was digging around on YouTube looking for episodes of this cartoon when I came across a series of videos from "Give-A-Show Slide Projector Blog." They appear to come from a now-defunct blog but those videos remain on YouTube.

The Give-A-Show Projector was a great handheld slide projector featuring a variety of old cartoons. I found this great "Give-A-Show" video featuring The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan" titled "Two Scents Worth."

In it, Charlie Chan and two of his sons visit the Egyptian Room at their local museum in order to check out a priceless vase. Suddenly, the room goes dark and the vase disappears from its protective display -- seemingly with a puff of smoke! Was it the museum guard? Or maybe Henry Chan?

Fortunately, Charlie Chan is around to realize the possibility of a third suspect. Who could be smoking in that sarcophagus? Surely, it's not a mummy!! You'll have to watch the minute-long video to figure out who really done it!

The video is accompanied by a catchy song featuring the vocals of Ron Dante (also from the Monkees and The Archies). I love this song. It's called "Whodonit" and these are the lyrics:
Who done it? Who done it? Who came and stole my heart away?
Who done it? Who done it? Who made me feel this way?

I'm looking through my magnifying glass.
I won't let the smallest clue get past.
Don't you know there's been a robbery?
And though I'm not complaining...
The victim's no one else but me... Oh!

Who done it? Who done it? Who came and stole my heart away?
Who done it? Who done it? Who made me feel this way?
It's not uncommon for this song to get stuck in my head.

You can watch the entire video here.
