ARCHIE'S FUNHOUSE COMICS ANNUAL #19: Our first story is "Orange You Lovely?," featuring a script from James Gartler, pencils from Dan Parent, inks from Rich Koslowski, letters by Jack Morelli, and colors by Glenn Whitmore.
Veronica is bored out of her skull at the start of this story. She has yet another date with Archie Andrew and expects to be treated to yet another dinner at Pop Tate's. Her parents invite her to stay home for a party for their friend and his son Gilbert Cosgrove -- a Hollywood celebrity!
Veronica doesn't remember Gilbert from her childhood, but quickly looks him up in the tabloids and gleans one bit of information about him. He likes his girlfriends tanned!
This prompts Veronica to take to the sun to make herself more appealing to her famous childhood friend. Unfortunately, she falls asleep and...
She ends up going to lengths that could only impress someone like John Boehner or Donald Trump. Question is: Will her sunburned spray-tanning impress Gilbert Cosgrove? And is he worth the painful effort???
JUGHEAD AND ARCHIE COMICS DOUBLE DIGEST #19: Next up is "Fixit Friends," featuring a script by Francis Bonnet, pencils by Fernando Ruiz, inks by Bob Smith, letters by Jack Morelli, and colors by Glenn Whitmore.
This story is pretty simple. Mr. Lodge has a leaky faucet. Archie and Jughead offer to fix it -- along with a series of other home repairs -- using "how to" MyTube videos. And Mr. Lodge accepts their offer...
... Because he's apparently learned nothing during the past 75 years!!
WORLD OF ARCHIE COMICS DOUBLE DIGEST #57: Our final story is "The Art of Chaos," featuring scripts and pencils by Tim & Pat Kennedy, inks by Jim Amash, letters by Jack Morelli, and colors by Glenn Whitmore.
This is a great story. Archie and Jughead start out the story trying to convince Veronica to check out "The Apeinator." Which is a charming story about a part-ape and part-robot FBI agent from another planet! Personally, I would love to see this movie!!
But Veronica didn't listen to me and instead conned the boys into watching a chick-flic called "Love Knots in My Larynx 2." Initially resistant, Archie gets a little too emotionally invested in this romantic film and ends up making a public spectacle of himself!
A trio of goons end up recording the entire tear-jag and post the entire embarrassing encounter all over the Internet. Archie spends the rest of the story trying to publicly reclaim his masculinity!
