A 33-year-old woman has been accused by Omaha police of breaking into the Henry Doorly Zoo so that she could pet a tiger? Their evidence? One of the tigers apparently bit her!
Police said officers were called to Creighton University Medical Center around 7:20 a.m. Sunday after the Jacqueline Eide, 33, showed up with a hand injury. Officer James Shade says the woman acted aggressively and appeared to be intoxicated. It does not appear that Eide was arrested. Instead, she was ticketed and charged with trespassing.
Police determined that Eide snuck into the zoo to try to pet a tiger. She was bitten when she reached into the animal's cage.
