It's possible that Kim Davis issued a statement from jail. Here's what Davis had to say last night (misspellings are intentional!):
But it's particularly fun to read the passage from Luke 16:18 and think of Kim Davis: "Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and whoever marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery."
Which pretty much confirms that this was a fake letter, but a deliciously fake letter!
To My brothers and sisters in Christ,It's funny to think of Kim Davis imagining herself as having it more difficult that Rose Parks -- whomever she is!! Certainly, Davis has had it easy compared to Rosa Parks. After all, Davis has free legal services and will eventually cash in with some sort of Christian crowdfunding program.
As I sit here in my cell, I am reminded of God's words to Isaiah 41:10 "fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous hand."
God's strength, fueled by the love, support and PRAYERS I have recieved are truly getting me by.
It's true what they say. If God brings you to it, God brings you through it!!!
I have no doubt your opinion of me has been swayed by the liberal media gotchyas. I am here because there is a war of Christians in America. This country was founded on the belifes of Christianity!! This is a fact.
I sit here with my Bible close to my heart, comuning with the Lord. I have a lot of time to think. I think of what Rose Parks must have felt! She had it easy let me tell you. The whole WORLD is watching me. Under this microscope, I am now not only an example for my famiy, but for the millions on Christians in America facing persecution and the loss of their fundemental right of regligious FREEDOM!!! I know now that I have been chosen for the highest purpose.
This is all a trial from God above. And I ask that you read this passage from Luke 16:18 and think of me, "consider it all joy my bretheren when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
I thank the courageous men Ted Cruz and Huckabee for their unwelding support through these trying days. They understand the Christian way.
As Jesus told His deciples before His death, think of my fondly. Think of me and pray.
