The Archie // Dede // Jughead Love Triangle Returns in JUGHEAD & ARCHIE COMICS DOUBLE DIGEST #14!

I was pretty excited when I opened up my copy of JUGHEAD & ARCHIE COMICS DOUBLE DIGEST #14 today! Perhaps you remember when I wrote about a new girl in Riverdale named Dede back in issue #12? She recently took over the day-to-day operations of her mother's comic book shop. Archie naturally had a huge crush on Dede, but she could hardly be bothered. Instead, Dede is all about Jughead! And Jughead, of course, doesn't care. But it's a great broken love triangle and I hoped back then that we would see more of Dede and her dog Cosmo!

We don't get to see any Cosmo in this short story, but Dede makes a fresh appearance in this latest issue! Which got me hopping for joy!


Here's the story: A new superhero movie -- "Protectors of the Planets" -- is playing this weekend in Riverdale. Figuring that she would like seeing a comic book-inspired movie, Archie plans to ask Dede out to see the movie. However, our new heroine was quicker on the draw and managed to ask Jughead to the movie first! Juggie agrees -- but under the condition that Archie is allowed to tag along.

So you have Archie one-way dating Dede, with Dede one-way dating Jughead, and Jughead just trying to enjoy the popcorn! Awkward!


As usual, this proves to be a comedy of errors! I'll leave it up to you to see how things turn out!
