I've been away this weekend at BritishFest, otherwise I would have shared the news earlier: ARCHIE. MEETS. RAMONES.
Archie Comics will be publishing a one-shot comic book called ARCHIE MEETS RAMONES, written by Alex Segura and Matthew Rosenberg and drawn by Gisele. It's scheduled to come out some time in 2016, in order to coincide with Archie Comics' 75th anniversary and the Ramones' 40th anniversary:

"Working on something like 'Archie Meets Ramones' is not only surreal, but too good to be true," Segura said in a statement. "Like my co-writer Matt Rosenberg and artist Gisele, I'm a huge Ramones fan. Having the band crossover with Archie seems perfect and completely insane at the same time. Fans can expect a fun, rockin' and heartfelt extra-sized adventure that will stand up there with some of the best Archie crossovers ever. Which is saying a lot!"I really cannot wait for this comic book! It's such an oddball project. Plus it has artwork by Gisele. How can I resist?
The seminal band of New York's defining punk scene, the Ramones were active from their '70s heyday through the mid '90s, however all original members have since passed away. The bands likeness are controlled by Ramones Productions Inc. -- a company ran by Johnny Ramone's widow Linda.
