Coralville, IA, Woman Sprays Woman With Mace on Bus

18-year-old Zhene Ball of nearby Coralville, IA, got into an argument last month with another woman on the city bus. Unable to let things settle, Ball reportedly borrowed a can of mace from a friend and then sprayed that mace in the face of the female passenger when she got up to leave the bus!

Coralville Police were called to the scene of this 01/22/13 incident. They found that the mace victim was in pain and had red, watery eyes.

Ball was arrested yesterday by Coralville Police and charged with assault causing bodily injury, which is a serious misdemeanor. I can't help but wonder if the person whose mace Ball used is at all culpable for this alleged assault?
