Public Policy Polling released a new poll yesterday that mostly dealt with statewide political leaders, but it also addressed the issue of marriage equality in this state. According to their latest polling data, the PPP found that Iowans currently support same-sex marriage by a margin of 46/43. That's compared to a 41/48 support margin back in October 2011.
Those polled also overwhelmingly indicated that legalized same-sex marriage in this state has had either no impact on their lives or a positive impact on their lives. We are talking 76% of those polled. Of course, I'm left wondering what kinds of negative experiences that other 24% has experienced over the past four years!
