Uncle Poodle in Hospital following Medical Scare

It's been a little over a month since I've blogged about Lee "Uncle Poodle" Thompson, formerly of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." I'm Facebook friends with him and his fiance Alan and I'm respond to some of their posts and they'll respond to some of my responses. They seem like fun guys and they like to engage their fans. This is a trait the entire family shares and, frankly, it's one of the reasons that I enjoyed this program so much.

Anyway, I went onto Facebook for my morning fix and learned that Uncle Poodle is currently in the midst of a health scare. Like, heart stuff.

Let me backtrack a bit... This past weekend, Lee began experiencing concerning health symptoms. I don't remember if he described those symptoms, but he ended up spending several hours in his local emergency room and was diagnosed with Angina. He was prescribed medications and was told to work on reducing the stress in his life.


Angina is scary for anyone -- much less a guy in his early-to-mid-30s. And it doesn't help that he smokes. But he rested up and they moved forward with their lives.

But Lee and Alan began posting an hour or so ago that Lee is back in the hospital. And it sounds pretty scary -- "severe pain and numbness,""heart was beating extremely fast and hard like it literally felts like it was going to burst out of his check," not immediately responding to stabilizing medications, "they had to shock him to get him to stabilize."


As you can read, Lee will remain at the hospital at least overnight tonight while they work to figure out an effective treatment plan.
